In 1988, as she was hitting the music scene, Lisette Melendez got her break when she began singing background vocals for a song that was produced by record producer Carlos Berrios. Also in 1988, Lisette Melendez recorded “Make noise” and in 1990 she recorded “If you truly love me.”
Soon thereafter, Berrios, who had already worked with other freestyle artists in the past such as Sweet Sensation ended up having Lisette Melendez record the song “Together Forever.” He would then go on to produce her full album which was titled “Together forever.”
