There you have it. The top charting freestyle songs on the U.S. Billboard Top 100 and the U.S. Dance Billboard. You may see songs here that we all know are all well deserving, but you may be wondering how a certain favorite jam of yours is not there.

A few surprises to me are that Dino’s “Summer Girls” only charted at #50 on the U.S. Billboard and #40 on the U.S. Dance Chart. What is considered the greatest freestyle duet “Dream Boy / Dream Girl” by Cynthia and Johnny O only made it to #53 on the U.S. Chart. Speaking of Cynthia, none of her songs made either list. This includes “Change on me” which made its way to #37 on the U.S. Dance Charts but didn’t chart on the U.S. Top 100. Also, you won’t find “Take me in your arms” by Lil Suzy on the U.S. Chart as is only went to #67, although it hit #1 on the U.S. Dance Chart.

Safire’s “Boy I’ve been told” only made it to #48 on the U.S. Billboard Top 100 and #13 on the U.S. Dance Chart. Johnny O’s “Fantasy Girl” did not chart at all on the U.S. Billboard, but it did make it to #48 on the U.S. Dance Chart. Also, ranking lower than what I thought was Nice and Wild’s “Diamond Girl” (#20 on U.S. Dance Chart) and Lisette Melendez “Together Forever” (#35 U.S. Top 100 and #31 on the U.S. Dance Chart.)

I would have thought Stevie B’s “Spring Love” would have made top #20 on the U.S. Billboard Top 100 (It went to #43.) It did make #5 on the U.S. Dance Chart. Honestly, I would have thought a lot of Stevie B songs would have charted better, although he did have multiple songs chart on the top 20 of the U.S. Billboard.

Here’s another surprise to me, Will to Powers “Say it’s gonna rain” only made #49 on the U.S. Billboard, but the song did hit #1 on the U.S. Dance Chart. Their other hit “Dreamin” made #50 on the U.S. Billboard and #15 on the U.S. Dance Chart. A few other songs that are coming to my mind right now are Sweet Sensation’s “Hooked on you” (#23 on U.S. Billboard,) Company B’s “Fascinated” (#21 on U.S. Billboard) and The Cover Girls “Because of you” (#27 on U.S. Billboard.)

All in all, many freestyle songs charted on the U.S. Top 100 Billboard, but our list is of the highest charting songs. The same goes with the U.S. Dance Chart. Many great songs, but the list consist of the highest charting songs.
