Dino is a music artist that enjoyed most of his music success in the late 1980s and early 1990s. Besides being a music recording artist, Dino was also an American disc jockey, songwriter and a record producer. Dino had many songs that charted on the U.S. billboard as well as other music charts during his singing career. Many of his hits were freestyle music dance tunes. After his singing career came to an end, Dino continued to work in the music business by producing and writing songs for famous artists such as Sheena Easton, Jordan Knight and many others.

Many of Dino’s most successful songs came from his 1989 “24/7” album. The first song released was “Summer girls” in 1987, and it was an instant hit as it made its way to #50 on the U.S. billboard chart. It also became a dance club favorite as it hit #40 on the U.S. dance singles chart. The instant success of “Summer girls” put Dino’s name on the map of talented freestyle artists.

Dino’s most successful song from the “24/7” album was “I like it” which made it all the way to #7 on the U.S. billboard, #25 on the R&B Billboard as well as #9 on the U.S. Dance Singles Chart. Many other songs from the “24/7” album also made the U.S. billboard, R&B billboard and Dance Charts. These songs were “Sunshine” (#23 on US billboard and #47 R&B billboard,) the song “24/7” (#42 on the U.S. Billboard, #12 on the R&B billboard and #31 on the U.S Dance Singles) and the slow jam “Never 2 much of you.” (#61 on the U.S. Billboard and #69 on the R&B Billboard.)

In 1990, Dino released another album titled “Swinin’.” From this album would come Dino’s highest charting song called “Romeo” which made its way to #6 on the U.S. Billboard. It also made it to #69 on the R&B Chart and #45 on the Dance Singles Chart. Another song that charted was “Gentle” which was a slow jam duet with the beautiful voice of Delona Tanner. “Gentle” made it to #31 on both the U.S. billboard Chart and R&B Chart.

In 1993, Dino released his “The way I am” album. His remake of the 1970 hit “Ooh child” by the Stairsteps was successful and made it to #27 on the U.S. Billboard. “Endlessly” was also a song from the album that ranked #114 on the U.S. Chart.

How did Dino begin his music career?

Dino pursued the music industry. Initially, not directly to be a singer, but he definitely set himself up by earning a Bachelor’s Degree in communications / broadcasting and music at the University of Nevada. He became a radio disc jockey at his college and then became a top 40 DJ for Nevada’s Power 97. He also worked as a local club DJ. Dino then began to sing with a group called Esquire. From there, Dino went on to become a solo singer and once “Summer girls” was released, we can say that Dino became a star.
