Coro

Coro made his way into the freestyle music scene during the late 1980s and early 1990s. Before recording music, the Miami raised singer first had acting roles in the mega hit television series “Miami Vice.” While doing his acting thing, Coro tried to put together a music group to get his singing career going, but things never seemed to go as planned. Eventually, things would work out for Coro, and he would end up recording many popular freestyle songs.

Top songs from Coro

In 1989, Coro released “Where are you tonight” which became a very popular dance club song. The following year, “Can’t let you go” was released and once again Coro had a popular dance club hit.

In 1991, the self titled album “Coro” was released. “Where are you tonight” and “Can’t let you go” where on the album, but so was “My fallen Angel” which turned out to be the biggest hit of Coro’s career. “My fallen Angel” charted at #54 on the U.S. Billboard top 100. With all these uptempo dance hits, Coro also recorded a slow ballad called “Missing you (Pretty baby)” that fans loved.

As the years went by, and with freestyle music losing the popularity that it once had, Coro still continued to record Latin hip-hop music well into the mid 1990s. Though none of these songs charted, fans loved the continued freestyle sound of “One night with you” in 1994, “Do unto me” in 1996 and “Shadows” in 1998.
