A Spanish version titled “Yo creo en ti” was also successful and made it to #10 on the U.S. Latin Chart.
“What you see is what you get” was also a hit from the “Brenda K Starr” album. It would hit #24 on the U.S. Chart and #6 on the U.S. Dance Chart. “Breakfast in bed” was another hit as it hit #18 on the U.S. Dance Chart. The Spanish version “Desayuno De Amor” would make it to #6 on the Latin Chart. “Straight form the heart” and “Over and over” also had mild success but did not chart.
During the late 1990s, Brenda K Starr rejuvenated her career by singing in Spanish. Brenda learned Spanish and became a salsa/tropical music artist. Since going this route, she has been very successful with her Spanish songs as many have made the U.S. Dance Chart, U.S. Latin Chart and U.S. Tropical Chart.
