Alisha is a freestyle music artist that came into the music business at a young age. She is one of the earlier freestyle artists that had club hits in the earlier mid – 1980s. Her music had strong electronic melodies and strong dance beats which made her music favorites at the club scene.

Under Vanguard records, Alisha would release a self titled album “Alisha.” The hit “All night passion” would be released in 1984 and would only chart at #103 on the U.S. Billboards, but it became a club favorite at it made its way to #4 on the U.S. Dance Charts. In 1985, “Too turned on” was another song that became popular at the clubs as it hit #6 on the U.S. Dance Charts. “Stargazing also made #16 on the U.S. Dance Charts, but Alisha’s top song from the the album, and probably her career, was “Baby talk” which hit #68 on the U.S. Billboards. With that said, “Baby talk” became the #1 song on the U.S. Dance Charts and also enjoyed International success making the top #20 in most of the worlds major music charts.
In 1987, Under RCA Records, Alisha released her second album titled “Nightwalkin.” It wasn’t as successful as her debut album, but there were a couple of songs that had some success. “Into my secret” made it to #97 on the U.S. Charts and to #9 on the U.S. Dance Charts. “Let your heart make up your mind” was another song that made the U.S. Dance Charts making it to #23.
In 1990, under MCA, Alisha would release her “Bounce back” album. The single “Bounce back” was the lone hit from the album as it made it to $54 on the U.S. Charts and #10 on the U.S. Dance Charts. Even though no other songs charted, the album as a whole was the only Alisha album to chart as it made it to #166 on the U.S. Album Charts.

Alisha began taking vocal lessons when she was only eight years old. Her parents believed in her talent and guided her in to the music world as they would arrange studio recordings, etc. At the age of 14, Alisha joined a group in her hometown called “The babysitters.” Alisha’s parents would pitch the recording demos to record companies. Their strategy worked because Vanguard Records would end up signing Alisha.
